Leo focuses on growth, LBO and distressed investments in the Iberian Peninsula. He is involved in the Tres60, Compañía del Trópico, Exterior Plus and Bodybell investments. Before joining H.I.G., he was an Investment Director and, subsequently a Partner at Gala Capital Partners, a leading Spanish Mid Market Private Equity firm. During his 7-year tenure at Gala Capital Partners, he also acted as Chief Executive Officer of Núcleo de Comunicaciones y Control, S.L. for 2 years. Previously, he advised European small and mid-cap companies on Corporate Finance and M&A transactions at Credit Suisse in Zurich and in Madrid.
Leopoldo is a CFA Charterholer, holds a B.A. in Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
Manuel graduated in Business Administration from Denver University (Colorado, USA) and holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana (USA).
He has worked almost his whole career in Investor Relations. He joins Sareb from the consultancy Orient Capital, where he worked for the past four years. He was also the founder and partner of Logical IR Solutions, Director of Strategy and External Relations at Parquesol Inmobiliaria, CEO of Eurocofin Investor Relations, Director of Equities at AB Asesores Bursatiles and Bankinter, and President and CEO of Link Securities (Brokerage House), among other roles.
Luis Gonzalez joined the European Private Equity team of Investcorp in 2008. In his role, he executes investments across Europe and is responsible for developing investment opportunities in Spain. Luis is currently on the Board of Directors of Agromillora, Esmalglass-Itaca and SPGPrints, and he has previously worked on Investcorp’s investments in Armacell and Polyconcept. Luis joined Investcorp from JPMorgan where he worked in the London acquisition and leveraged finance team. Prior to that, he worked for JPMorgan's mergers and acquisitions team in Madrid.
Luis Gonzalez holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from University Politecnica in Madrid.
Founder of Be-Spoke Capital. Lars co-founded and was the CEO of the Capital Efficiency Group AG, (the manager of the PREPS platform) which provided over €2.2bn in SME credit across Europe, financing 315 companies across 8 countries. He established origination partnership agreements with with Unicredit, SEB, Banco Sabadell, ING, Barclays, Bank Austria , Banco Populare, JP Morgan, and Credit Suisse. Before he was a Member of the Executive Team of Swiss Re NM in charge of Global Banking, managing international teams across multiple sectors, and a member of the Executive Team and Managing Director of Fox-Pitt, Kelton. He had worked as consultant for The Boston Consulting Group and started his career in M&A at UBS. He studied Finance at the HSG St Gallen and ESCP.
Pierre Bourderye is a Managing Director at PJT Partners and is based in London. Mr. Bourderye focuses on the energy, infrastructure and utilities sectors. Before joining Blackstone in 2011, Pierre Bourderye was a director at Rothschild with responsibilities for conventional power and renewables. Coverage of the European power and renewable energy market for the last 17 years.
Ignacio Serra is a Senior Director in the FTI Consulting and is based in Madrid. Ignacio is in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring team.
Ignacio is an experienced strategy and transformation professional with more than 15 years’ experience delivering advisory services to the boards of multinational companies and Private Equities. He is a subject matter expert in Non Performing Loans and Real Estate management in Financial Institutions and Servicers, having advised in the acquisition, strategic planning and transformation of most of the players in this sector in Spain.
Mr. Arzac joined la Caixa in 2.011, having previouslyworked in Grupo Santander and ABN AMRO. During the last six years he has beenpart of different teams dealing with Project Finance, being involved indifferent transactions with various risk profiles on the energy andinfrastructure sector, including waste & water treatment plants, transportinfrastructure and renewable & conventional power.
Mr. Arzac holds a Bachelor Degree for Law from theUniversidad Complutense de Madrid, and a Master’s Degree in Capital Marketsfrom the IEB (“Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles”).
Martin has more than 10 years of experience in leveraged finance and M&A. He worked as Corporate Finance and Development director at Applus, where he participated in the IPO of the company, the refinancing of its debt and the acquisition of 4 companies in various geographies. Previously, he worked for 6 years at Morgan Stanley in the leveraged finance and M&A teams in London and Madrid. Martin has also worked for PwC Corporate Finance in Barcelona and for BNP Paribas M&A team in Paris. Martin holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from UPC (Barcelona) and a Master of Science in Management from HEC Business School (Paris).
Sven Andersen is the CFO of FREO Group. He is based in FREO’s Luxembourg office
Sven has more than 20 years of experience in investments, financing and capital market products.
Prior to joining FREO in 2017, Sven was a partner and head of Real Estate M&A within KPMG. Prior joining KPMG in 2009, Sven headed the Real Estate Investment banking division for Germany, Switzerland and Austria at Lehman Brothers. From 1997 to 2006, he worked for Deutsche Bank, at various positions in Frankfurt, London and New York, inter alia in the corporate development department.

Fernando has ample Board Experience: Servihabitat, Bankia Habitat (now Haya RE), and Auseco, among others. Fernando is currently in the Advisory Board at Madrid’s Architects Association (COAM).

Blanca Perea has more than 15 years’ experience in the energy sector, and has worked on regulatory and competition issues — studying the impact of legislative reforms, new policies and energy efficiency programmes — as well as market research and the financing and valuation of energy assets, among others. She has recently participated as an expert witness in numerous lawsuits pertaining to the electricity reforms in Spain, obtaining the first favourable ruling from the Spanish Supreme Court.
Blanca Perea joins the firm after almost three years as a partner at Bluecap Management Consulting. Previously, she was a senior manager at PwC’s energy practice and managing director of COGEN España, the Spanish Association for the Promotion of Cogeneration.
Blanca Perea has a Ph.D. in Engineering, Nuclear Engineering and Physics from Catalonia’s Universidad Politécnica, and was a researcher at CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) for eight years. She also holds an MBA from Georgetown-ESADE.
Miguel joined Gómez-Acebo & Pombo in 1999 and became a partner in 2010. He is specialized in restructuring and distressed situations, acquisition finance, asset (including tax leases) and project finance, private equity and corporate finance matters. Miguel has a degree in Law and an advanced-level Degree in Business Law by Universidad Pontificia de Comillas – ICADE (1999). He also has a LL. M.
